About

This year's Hub On Wheels Citywide Bike Ride & Festival will attract over 3,000 people for a fabulous chance to discover Boston at bike level. On October 1, 2006 we'll gather on City Hall Plaza, ride down a car-free Storrow Drive, then chose between fully-supported and signed loops of 10, 20, 30, or 40 miles going through the city's amazing parks, greenways, river paths, and neighborhoods. And all the proceeds will support the programs of the Boston Digital Bridge Foundation that gives kids and their families skills and tools to do better in school and in life.

AFFILIATIONS
Hub On Wheels is a project of the Boston Digital Bridge Foundation (BDBF) and the Boston Bicycle Festival. The Citywide Bike Ride & Festival is endorsed by the City of Boston and underwritten by city and state agencies.

Volunteer Opportunities

Be part of the fun. Meet other people. Help make the city a better place to live, work, play, and raise families.

To make this ride a success we need you. Join with us and hundreds of other volunteers! You tell us how much time you've got, and we'll find something useful for you to do. In return, we'll give you Hub On Wheels T-Shirts, invite you to special events, and schedule a special Volunteers Ride around the city (September 17, 2006)!
  • Over the summer -- Help spread the word by distributing brochures and posters in your own neighborhood or at public events.
  • September 30 -- Help with festival set up on City Hall Plaza. Put up directional signs along the route. Pick up last minute supplies.
  • October 1 -- Be an on-route Marshal. Help with registration and other festival tasks.
