Community Servings is Greater Boston's free, hot, home-delivered meals program for people ill with AIDS, their dependents, and caregivers. Our goal is to serve all individuals with AIDS who request meals, as well as their needy caregivers and dependents. We are committed to serving a diverse client base and have worked hard to reach Greater Boston's traditionally disenfranchised and under-served populations.
It takes over 500 hours of volunteer power per week to get our 700 meals per day prepared, packaged and delivered. Our program couldn't run without the vital support of our volunteers. Community Servings' three annual fundraisers are powered by volunteer committees, and during the holidays, special meals and gift baskets are put together and brought to our clients' homes by volunteers.
