About

Volunteer Boston - Big Sister Association of Greater Boston Big Sister believes that every girl can benefit from the friendship, guidance and support of a caring adult. Our comprehensive and complementary mentoring programs foster special friendships between girls and women where girls feel listened to and encouraged. These relationships create a safe space where girls feel free to be themselves, where they can share and explore their thoughts and feelings. By building friendships between girls and women based on trust, respect and a healthy dose of laughter, Big Sister empowers girls with the knowledge that there is no limit to what they can do, become or achieve.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Boston - Big Sister Association of Greater Boston Big Sister's mentoring programs are specifically designed to acknowledge and address girls' unique interests and needs. Our programs have varying time requirements and physical settings, but share a fundamental purpose: to nurture girls' innate strengths and validate their experiences. Our programs are also preventative, in that we reach out to girls before they make decisions that could adversely affect their futures.
